1. Your camera
When you tap "Start Nazar Removal", your browser asks for permission to use your camera. If you allow it:
- The video is processed only inside your browser by an on-device hand and face detection model (Google MediaPipe) so the nimbu-mirchi can follow your hand.
- Camera frames are never sent to our servers or anyone else, and are never recorded or saved.
- The camera switches off when you finish, close the game, or leave the page.
- You can play without a camera using the "Finger se karo" option.
2. Your certificate photo
The Nazar-Free Certificate, including the small photo on it, is created on your device. It is not uploaded or stored by us. It only leaves your device if you choose to share or download it (for example to WhatsApp or Instagram). After that, the app you shared it with handles it under its own privacy policy.
3. Your name
The name you type is used only on your device to write it on your certificate. We do not receive or store it.
If you use "Kisi aur ko nazar lagi hai?" to send the game to a friend, the names you enter are put into the link that you share (for example ?for=Rahul&from=Mummy), so that your friend sees a personal message. Anyone who has that link can see those names, so only enter names you are happy to share.
4. The "nazars utari gayi" counter
When someone finishes a nazar removal, their browser sends an anonymous "+1" to our counter so we can show the total number. This request contains no name, photo, account or device identifier. We only store a single total number.
5. Services this website uses
To load the website, your browser downloads files from these providers. Like any website, they receive standard technical information such as your IP address and browser type when that happens, and they handle it under their own privacy policies:
- Amazon Web Services (CloudFront, S3, Lambda): hosts the website and the counter.
- Google Fonts: the fonts used on the page.
- jsDelivr: delivers the MediaPipe hand-tracking library.
- Google Cloud Storage: delivers the hand and face detection model files.
- LinkedIn and Instagram: only if you tap the developer's profile links, you go to their separate websites.
We have not turned on visitor logging or analytics on our hosting.
6. Children
The game is harmless fun and collects no personal data from anyone, including children. Young children should use it with a grown-up nearby, especially because it involves moving your hands around.
7. Disclaimer: this is only for fun
- Nazar Utaro is a humorous entertainment website. It playfully celebrates a well-loved desi tradition; it does not mean to make fun of anyone's beliefs or hurt anyone's sentiments.
- It does not actually remove the evil eye or change your luck, and it is not religious, spiritual, medical, psychological or any other professional advice.
- The "nazar level" and "source of nazar" are randomly generated jokes. They are not about any real person and should not be taken seriously.
- "Sharma Aunty", "Aunty Intelligence" and all other characters are fictional.
- The fire is virtual. Please don't burn real chillies or anything else because of this game. 🙏
- Be careful of your surroundings while waving your hands in front of the camera.
- The website is provided "as is", without any guarantee. The "100% guarantee" on the certificate is also a joke. 😄
8. Changes
If we change how the website works in a way that affects your privacy, we will update this page and the date at the top.
